Yesterday we performed varalakshmi pooja at our home. Just I am uploading the amman photo. This amman face (made out of silver)was worshipped by my mother-in-law for nearly 40years and I am doing pooja for more than 18 years.

Thank God, it did not rain till I finished and took a picture of this kolam. Varuna bhagawan was waiting for me to complete this kolam !
After a series of colored rangolams from me now I want to give you all a simple white kolam with Kavvi, drawn in a hurry on this VaraMahalakshmi pooja day in front of Thulasi Madam.(Before rain and wind could taste it I took the photo). It is a dotted kolam . dot count is 9-5 in betwen dots. The main kolam drawn with this dots and some decorations done outside.
Hai to all...this kolam was done for Varalakshmi puja....we do puja to our Tulasi Madam...as such I don't have a TULASI MADAM (HOLY BASIL LEAVES) but ironically the tulasi grows in abundance in our area...we keep maavilakku, sakkarai pongal and tie Nonbu Kayiru(white threads dipped in manjal) by d hands of unmarried girls....
