Deepa I always envy your padikolams as I have not tried the actual one so far - this one is neat and I am looking forward to see the mud floor soon
Since I am just seeing this kolam I think http://www.ikolam.com/node/14719?p=10759 looks a bit like your kolam except for the elongation of the sections and some changes here and there

Yes judy mam,i too saw the kolam in the link ,this kolam is a modified version of kolams tagged to flickr i saw a week ago,so have copied its basic structure and enhancements of my own to fit the space.i applaud ur keen observation, which spotted my copycat kolam !

This is the plus point in kolams - you can always add extensions, elongate or shrink things and make it look completely different - well done dear
