Hi All,

Its been long time - uploading and commenting on this forum. I was busy with work and personal commitments. But I check this site atleast 4 days a week. And see all your wonderful submissions. But could not comment as I browse from office and do not have the leverage to browse for a long time. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the members who have uploaded their beautiful kolams. I dont think we can browse through these many different kolams anywhere on a daily basis. I am now attaching my Varalakshmi pooja kolam done in front of the Amman Mandap.

Hai to all...Happy Varalakshmi Vratham to all....this is an imp ritual for married women and observed as a festival in south india.The varalakshmi vratham puja is an imp ritual performed during d vratam.Women start the auspicious day by talking a bath and they clean and decorated their homes with rangolies.They then prepare for d vrata by arranging a sacred pot called Kalasha. The pot is filled with water and rice and symbolises prosperity.Betel and mango leaves are used to cover d pot. A cocnut smeared with turmeric and vermillion(kumkum) is placed on d kalash which is then placed on a plate with rice.Hope u like my spl padi-kavi kolam done on this auspicious day....
