Rangoli: Spring Garden Kolams - Foxglove

Straight dots: 6 - 6

A very simple kolam with four flowers. Gosh, I have so many flower kolams in my collection, don't know which one to upload here - selected this one as it is a bit different from the rest.
Looks like foxglove flower to me so I named it. Lata is it some other flower by any chance??

Rangoli: Spring Garden Kolams - Roses

Here comes a rose border which while cropping I discovered that if this was flipped in the opposite direction it would look like a regular kolam, so I did just that and here is the outcome. I have marked the dots on one side using photoshop so it is clear how the dots are placed. I call it the 'Thideer Rose Kolam'. Have fun trying some different version if you can too..

Rangoli: Advanced pookolam

A set of two big pookolams which I had put for margazhi. The first one (which I seem to like better) is drawn with broad strokes and the second with thin strokes. The central design of both the kolams can also be done separately as they are really cute. Will be apt for those who have little space Smile

Rangoli: Advanced chikku kolams

This one I saw in Aval Vikadan. As the design looked different I decided to copy it on the computer and here is the result. The dots are visible so you can count them.

Rangoli: Intermediate pookolams

Here is another set of 4 pookolams that I had put sometime ago but forgot to upload. Dot count mentioned in the picture itself. The bottom two are my personal favourites. Except for No.3 all the rest were done in a hurry so it did not come out perfectly Smile

Rangoli: Party time Ladies - Guess the differences :)

http://ikolam.com/node/11069?p=5850 - This kolam of Lata's inspired me to experiment in my own way on photoshop and her is what I have finally arrived at. Let's see how many changes you can spot between the two kolams. Same dots (intermediate 15-8), only slightly different design. I am really in the party mood for sure Blum 3

Rangoli: Advanced chikku kolams

Here is another group of big chikku kolams that I put during Margazhi, but could not upload earlier. I feel the ones on the right are not neat enough as they were done in quite a hurry. The dot count is mentioned in each kolam. Experts waiting for your views please Smile

Rangoli: My computer Sanskar Bharathi Kolam

Seeing so many of this type of kolam tempted me to do one on the computer (actually this was done in September itself, but did not get uploaded for various reasons. On the left side you will see a real Sanskar Bharathi kolam on top (that I copied from the net) which I duplicated below. On the right side you will see the one I tried myself (I dont know if there are any specific patterns that need to be followed). Would love to hear comments from the experts of this style, so I can improve and one try this for real Smile
