My computer Sanskar Bharathi Kolam
About My computer Sanskar Bharathi Kolam : PRINT
Seeing so many of this type of kolam tempted me to do one on the computer (actually this was done in September itself, but did not get uploaded for various reasons. On the left side you will see a real Sanskar Bharathi kolam on top (that I copied from the net) which I duplicated below. On the right side you will see the one I tried myself (I dont know if there are any specific patterns that need to be followed). Would love to hear comments from the experts of this style, so I can improve and one try this for real

Really splendid Judy mam, real work of art has no rules to follow,it's just the expression of an artistic mind which tries to giveout an imagination into reality, with its own set of interests being unconsciously mixed up in the creation.definition seem to bother but the truth is no set of rules for a creative artist like u i believe!

Beautiful sanskar bharati is all mediums Judy.
I can't help wondering, you had uploaded it here in late February, close to 5 months after you finished it. Care to elaborate a little bit about the delay? What did you do - party party and more parties! :0

Very very beautiful (see the extra very Extremely pleasing colours, not at all a danger to the eyes! Nice repetition of the basic design. The only thing that bugs me is the numerology and symmetry. Any way, for such a masterpiece who cares, is it not Judy?

You do wonders in photoshop (in real kolams also), Judy. Such a neat and beautiful work with good colour combination. I don't find any suitable word to express the happiness when i see this. Hats off to your talent.

My God - so many people stopped by to comment - I am really thrilled and honoured too. Individually - thanks Deepa (didn't know you can talk so much and well said indeed), Alamelu, Lata (Actually there were so many kolams in queue and with one upload a week I thought i'd wait a bit before I upload my kolams (I have loads like this one waiting to be uploaded) and eventually forgot about it. Very recently there have been lots of the kind being uploaded and I suddenly remembered this tucked away in one corner and uploaded it - actually a long story I could not make short - hehe), Subashini (waiting to see the thuru thuru end in a kolam soon), JKM (I am really happy and honoured that I managed to tempt you to comment on my work after a long time. I agree with you when it comes to numerology and symmetry but when I was making this, all I could think of was to manage to get the shapes in place and forgot to count them - must take note of this in future too), Sudha (thanks for the pat), Nithya (come for the Chennai meet and I will teach you too), Kameshwari, Vidhya, Lakshmi (for once I found a chance to make you speechless instead), Brindha (nothing to beat your colouring though), Indu, Rani (hehe), Jaya (that too in your house), Rajam (I am truly honoured to hear this from a giant like you), Sreegiri, Sumathi (sure dear - you can always come home too - just a hop, step and a jump away), Madhuharini, Ankita, Kathriak (wish I could - can someone try it out please), Saras (you can take it), Padma and Radhu. I spent a lot of time making this one (nearly 3 days) as I wanted the shapes to fit in properly and was really tired when I finished but now all those pains have disappeared after seeing so many lovely remarks - thanks for all the encouragement friends

Very creative and beautiful. If this can be done on plastic sheets using stained glass paints, it can be preserved and used when necessary. Saves time when we are busy on festival days. Can u possible tell me how you did it on the computer? I love to dabble on the computer and would love to do something like it as a passtime.
