After completing the 'Veni look-alike kolam' on the computer I was curious to know what it would look like if I had filled in the left out dots and extended the kolam. I used my imagination and managed to finish the kolam and this is what it looks like. Am so happy with my own elaborate chikku kolam which has come out very well. Your comments friends??

Recently at a home exhibition I bought a stencil set which consisted of three stencil designs, three kolapodi droppers (small plastic containers with a mesh at the bottom - will take a picture and upload soon)and a plastic frame - that resembles the outer frame of your maa jaladai(flour sifter). The man at the stall selling these sets had created incredible designs mixing so many colours and the technique seemed very simple. Unfortunately I could not click pictures because of the crowd at the stall - which was impossible to manage. I was lucky to be able to purchase a set and the next day itself the stall was empty as he ran out of stock. I came home and tried it out with the limited colours available at home and this is what I created.

Here comes another different design from my chikku kolam collection. This is Rajam's favourite dot count - inbetween dots 9 - 5. Look forward to your comments and views..
