I have already explained how to draw a two line sOnA square with 2x3 sOnA patterns in my blog at http://www.ikolam.com/node/20808 . The present rangOli is a similar pattern, but executed with a 3x4 sOnA pattern. Enjoy!

Many of you know my fondness for letters and symbols and ornamental patterns with them. Here is a celtic knot pattern with ampersand symbol (&). The inner and the outer designs go in opposite directions. Enjoy!

I took the simple 3x3 "S" rangOli I made with strings at http://www.ikolam.com/node/5497?p=1930 . I took the mirror image of this and joined the two with a loop in between and formed a sOnA square with this motif. The central space was filled with another suitable rangOli. I placed four lamps at the corners. We thus get a paDikOlam done in the fashion of a chikku kOlam. The whole pattern is drawn on a 11x11 grid. Enjoy!
