I saw this design in website and was looking so pretty. So i tried this today, but i myself spoiled it today by spitting kolam powder over it. Still have uploaded here for your views.
This is the simple padi kolam that I made in hurry burry on Aadi Velli (23 Jul 2011). Though it is simple, I thought of sharing it with u all.
This is a chikku kolam that I did today. After finishing I felt that had I placed dots with White Rangoli powder, it would have been still more brighter. The most worst part is that, i made this kolam fast fast with the fear that my son may awake anytime. So before he gets up, I wanted to finish this kolam. As soon as I finished it, I clicked the photo (luckily) immediately. After one hr or so when i opened the door to show this to my hubby, the cleaner boy had already completely removed my kolam and mopped the floor. i felt very bad and it was a great insult to me.
My hubby is in the hobby of old currency notes collection. When he showed me the scan of one of the notes which his friend was having, I told him that this looks like a Rangoli design. He started making fun of me saying that always your mind is occupied with kolams and rangoli designs (same like him, always occupied with old currency notes).
This is my gift for my kolam teacher for her birthday. Dear Suba, Please accept my small gift dear. I feel that I could have done this kolam still more better. But this is what I made on Friday with the feel that this has to be dedicated to Suba. So please accept however it is, my dear.
I have attached some small kolams with the dot count as 3-2. Will be helpful for beginners and kids to start with the practise of making kolams. Please let me know your comments.
Last year, bhagavathy sevai was held in my grandma's house. This kolam was made for that purpose by the priest.
