Wow...very nice attempt goms...btw just share how to change d background of our kolams in black...is it possible to do like this even when a kolam is done on floor Smile

Lata's picture

Absolutely, Rani. You just have to separate out the kolam and save that in a different layer. For your background, choose a plain black colored one, or any color or pattern of your choice. I'm talking about Photoshop. Smile

Oh...oh ...thanks a lot lata for ur valuable tips Smile

Yes lata is right rani dear. I am using photoshop and add a layer below the rangoli layer and choose black as background. I use bevel and emboss option and add texture to the plain layer using Adobe imageready usually comes with adobe photoshop software.
One more thing is we have to delete the outer portion (outer area means floor area around the rangoli) of the rangoli layer using magic wand tool (I think it is easy to me) or any other selection tool pa. Smile

subashini's picture

yes rani, I too do the same procedure said by lata and gomathi.crop the kolam without any outer portion and paste it on a desired background color and texture. If you use photo shop you can change color and texture easy.
