The bengalis celebrate Holi which they call as Dol Yatra or Dol Purnima one day ahead of North India. Otherwise, it is a festival of colours, visiting friends and relatives, a time for revelry where the distinctions between classes (as it is the class barrier is not much in Bengal) is forgotten. Surprisingly the weather is still pleasant and giving good support to the roaming revelers. We are in a cosmopolitan colony where non bengalis are more, the Holi is celebrated just as in north. We all got smeared in a riot of colours !
