Dear friends since long back i have developed interest in pookolam after seing beautiful poo kolam fromm our sowmya darling .day before yesterday after the pooja i tried this simple kolam with leftover flowers indeed it is very difficult task as it was very hot and i have to put the fans off(to prevent the petals from flying ) and do this .Though i wanted to put the dots in suurounding the design i coud not as it was very late and very hot .Please comment so that i can try to improve

Earlier, I gave patterns of squares in a right angled triangle arranged as squares. Today I am giving hexagonal patterns of rhombuses (two back-to-back equilateral triangles) in equilateral triangles. The figure on the right gives the pattern with three rhombuses at the base. The figure on the left gives the pattern with five such rhombuses. The basic motifs are also shown separately. Enjoy! Regards - mOhana

this free hand design was done by me for navaratri.. near my place our lane was decorated with 3000 diya's in the rangoli....every year the number increases by 1000....as this is the third year it was wid 3000 diya's...
and i hav completed this rangoli within 30mins....as there was very lil time i hav finished it in a hurry....but still my rangoli was very big. in my lane......
