This rangoli was drawn for pavamana homa.....The rangoli is drawn with the rice and colouring is done by food colours.....

This is not rice flour ranima....it is whole rice....

Wow..So divine. Beautifully made designs esp the Chakra and Shanku looks superb Vidhya. The centre portion looks so pretty. Was this made by you???

No sowmi....This was done by an acharya who did the pavamana homa..He just finished the whole rangoli with in half an hour....

First time I am seeing kolam drawn with full rice. Very beautiful. The rice was spread first and then by using finger tip or a stick the designs are drawn I think. Looking very devine. The centre kumizh design with colouring also very pretty.

Amazing kolam with full rice, which I am seeing for the first time. Must have been difficult to put. The shanku and chakram are very beautiful. The centre design is very beautiful.

Vidhya dear, thanks for sharing this with us... I too have never seen a kolam done using rice... this is the first time I am seeing it and it looks so good and neat... the middle kumil work has come out so well as well.
