Marghazhi 2
About Marghazhi 2 : PRINT
This kolam was made by me for one of the Marghazhi days. As I had used turmeric and kumkum for the yellow and red colours respectively, they did not flow and spread properly - hence a lot of spillage - Also this is the first time I am making kolams with colours. Hope to do more neatly in future.

Thank you very much Sowmya, Suguna, Uma (this is one my first few colour chikku kolams), Alamelu, Lakshmi, Pushpa (The yellow colour is plain turmeric and red is plain kumkum. I tried mixing turmeric with some kolapodi, but it gives a very dull yellow colour... so used only plain turmeric & kumkum), Rajamma ma'am, Mahalakshmi & Ms.Rani, for your very sweet comments... This was one of my first few Marghazhi kolams.

Lovely kolam. The lines drawn with turmeric and kumkum are neat.
You could have used poosum manjal powder.

One of my favourites Sindhu - very pretty colours you have used and the symmetry is really good
