When I took this picture, the indians seated around us looked at me as if this wasn't worth taking a picture of - I know I'm not a mind reader, but I think I can tell the difference between a chuckle and an understanding smile!
This reminds me of something else too. My close relatives discourage me from taking pictures or even taking a closer look at their neighbor's day-to-day kolams when I visit them. My cousin once said; "You are acting as if all these things are rare, kaanadhatha kanda maadhiri...stop embarrassing us"!
