Hai to all...this is d spl simple holi rangoli made by me.....this festival brings lot of childhood memories where in my defence quarters where i was born and brought up(trichy-ordinance factory)all d young boys and girls would be going batch by batch all through d day along d streets and will stop by every house to atleast apply little handful of colours to all of us...particularly d south indians living there...my mom would be very shy to allow them to apply and she would show her hand shyly...such cute memories....

beautiful kolam rani mam. what do you use to mix with the colour podi, these are such bright. I think you do not use white kolapodi for mixing. please tell me.

Thanks a lot rajamma mam, vinci, uma and vasanthi for ur sweet comments....vasanthi....we get sand mixed col kolam pdrs here in chennai...(at parry's corner)...thats why it looks good to fill as well as to do a kolam itself with it...if u don't live in chennai...try to add beachsand with ur normal col pdr(riversand-aathumanal.. even if u sift it becomes more coarse)...so sift (jalichu poduppa)beachsand and mix and see....pl let me know ...

Lovely, colourful rangoli, Ms.rani. Even i used to wonder about the brightness of your colours - thanks for giving the information about coloured sand. And very nice of you to share such sweet memories of your childhood Holi celebrations...
