About Free hand lotus (2) : PRINT

Hello everyone!

This is a free hand kolam of a lotus by me. Details I like about this kolam : it draws your attention to the centre with some intricacy at the middle and then flares out in thin lines and is finally contained by a lace-like border.

Cheers,
Mahallakshmi Arun

Yes its attractive. Neat strokes with overlaps here and there.

Very neat strokes and the inner design is very beautiful. Since the kolam is drawn on the special floor(i can't imagine the floor, is it ordinaly floor or tiles) , the strokes looks elegant.

Hi, the kolam is attractive with the centre design and the thin strokes but little overwrites. On this floor, the kolam is looking very bright.

How come your cement floor stayed wet for so long - it normally dries up before you finish putting the entire kolam. That flooring is the highlight of everything - it has lifted the brightness of your already sleek and slender kolam.. Very neatly done - how come some places look like you have given double strokes - was that done on purpose?? On the whole the entire kolam is very cute and neat Smile

This kolam was done on the terrace on a very ordinary wet cement floor. I think the Bangalore weather is responsible for the effective texture of a common-place floor! Smile
I tried making the entire kolam with double lines...but as my learning fingers would have it, i think in some places the two lines perfectly overlap ( making it look single).

Nice thin lined free hand kolam. I am fond of thin lines( since I am very poor in putting thick lines). The centre design matches with the outer lotus buds and the cute border gives the grand touch to this kolam.
