Coloured Padikolam
About Coloured Padikolam : PRINT
This kolam was made by me on a Marghazhi Friday. I hope this passes as a Padi kolam as I don't know much about Padi kolams. Here also, the colours are home-prepared.

You have drawn a pucca padikolam. This is the base for all bigger padikolams. The coloring is very nice. Beautiful kolam like the creater.

Lovely lotus kolam with pretty colors. I like the way you have drawn the wings for the temple design on the sides. Looks as if they are ready to fly

Except for the lines in the centre square which look a little shaky the rest of this padikolam is so lovely - especially the colouring - well done Sindhu

Thank you for all your encouraging remarks. Like Judy said, the lines are shaky - I'm yet to learn making real straight lines. Hope to practice better and improve as Padi kolams are my favourite. I especially adore Rajamma ma'am and Jaya ma'am's padi kolams.
Ms.Rani, thanks for the comment. I don't know if there is any formal intro in ikolam.com for members; but from last 7 months i have been following your posts and learning kolams from all of you. In fact, my learning to make kolams has started only with ikolam.com. Thanks for that!!
Ms. Uma: Preparation of colours: White kola podi was mixed with, ujala liquid blue - for violet; kesari colour -for saffron; kumkum - for red; turmeric - for yellow.

Sindhu I really appreciate the way you have accepted your flaws and glad to see your spirit in learning to make your kolams better - be assured that with practice you will master this one soon. There are many people who when they joined ikolam were LKG students but have not got P.HD - that too in flying colours. I am going to watch you alsoget your P.HD also very soon - all the best..
