Advanced Kolam / Rangoli
About Advanced Kolam / Rangoli : PRINT
Uploading two of my recent creations...
One is interlaced dots 15 - 8
The other is the 'Disconnected Rangoli' - free hand style - this was a rangoli I had seen more than 10 years ago. It used to don one of the front yards next to my office and my colleague used to call it the 'vendakai (ladies finger) rangoli' because the centre of the rangoli looked like the cross section of one. Whatever I remembered I tried to put together to form this one and I think I almost matched what I had seen...

Easy Pushpa - open a big new page, copy and paste the images you want to combine on one page one by one, drag and place images next to each other or two on top and two down (if you want to combine 4), if you want to number the kolams you can use the text tool to type the numbers, then after you have finished crop the unwanted space and save. Hope this is clear..

Okhra rangoli looks beautiful Judy. Also reminds me of a starfish. I couldn't understand why you called it disconnected
Pushpaji, I thought you had already published kolam files which contain more than 2 or 3 kolams, http://www.ikolam.com/node/7009
Regarding showing two pictures in the same file, please make sure after you've placed both the images in a file, the file size is around 800 pixels wide. You may have to scale images to make them proportionate, and fit into the 800 pixels width.

Lata if you look at that 'star fish' rangoli you will see that none of the sections are connected to each other - that's why i called it 'disconnected rangoli' - got it??

Yes Latha, kolam is always connecting thro' or around the dots. That's why I was wondering how 'disconnecting' came into picture! Judy alone can do such innovations!
