About Reverse glass painting : PRINT

My daughter did this painting a couple of years ago. The painting is done on the reverse side of the glass and then the framing is done with the crushed foil as the background

This is one of my paintings with a few of my lines: I was all alone, drowned in solitude, engulfed in my blues, And I failed to see all those beautiful hues. I was safe! Huddled with myself in my heavy silence, I believed it was my prudence. Darkness glowed everywhere, There wasn’t but a single flare. I fell in love with the shadow, Everything else I forgo.

It is quite good. To me, the background doesn't look great, sorry.
It actually diminishes the rich beauty of the painting.

This is very pretty Sumathi - I suppose if the background was black it would have highlighted the flowers more??
