About Margazhi dew drops Kolam contest - 2008-2009 : PRINT
I did this (my first dotted)kolam with rice powder.used food colouring with it for the colours.as it is freezing outside here in uk i had to do it within my little kitchen.the dot count is 19 to 10 interluding.

I am pretty impressed with this rangoli. The colours
are quite striking. It may be freezing outside like
here. But you have created spring inside your little
kitchen. It all depends on the perspective, is it not?

At a glance it looks like a school of dolphins. Nice rangoli, the shades of green in the "dolphins" and the peach color in the rangoli seems to blend in nicely with the tile's green and the peach-colored grout of the flooring.
