I made this dotted kolam at my grandpa's house, in Sirkazhi. We had fun making rangolis with different colors on the terrace.

I made this kolam with color pencils, using a design from one of our kolam books. It uses 13 dots at the center line, and the dots decrease by 2 from every line going from the center, towards the outer edge. I thought that if I made all the cartoons the same color, the whole kolam would look boring, so I alternated colors for every person.
I followed the instructions from my patchwork quilt book, and made this cushion two years ago. I was trying to do two things for the first time; sewing and quilting.
My clay turtle for a school project.
And, my friend's eagle too, made by Emily Zhong.
I like to put the dots in different colors in my dotted kolam. Here is one such kolam that I made last year.
A Potholder that I made last year for my mom (for mother's day). But she thinks it is too pretty to use!
