Small chikku kolam
About Small chikku kolam : PRINT
This is a small chikku kolam with 9 to 1 straight dots. I have already uploaded this kolam earlier during navarathri days done with wet rice paste; but the image was not clear. So I'm again uploading it which is done with kola podi. This is my favourite kolam.

ankubala ma'am, I have a suggestion. People who submit rangOlis here have different levels of competency. Some are very advanced, some are gaining experience and some others are at the starting block. It is our duty to encourage all the artists. If you don't feel this pattern is not fantastic, I respect your views. Is it really necessary to pour cold water and chill the bubbling enthusiasm of others? It is not necessary that everybody should like everything. But at such a time, either one can keep quiet or give suggestions so that the artist can improve her / his art. Just saying it is not good, is not good. As far as I see it, this is a well executed work. It is small with good strokes and neat elegance.

Ankubala maam, pls try this very same pattern on ur own, only then u would realize that this is not an easy pattern as it looks to be. Feel free to give comments to help improvise on kolams which is always welcome and pls pls pls do not give negative criticism. If i had not received positive comments for my maiden attempt at maakolam namely on this http://www.ikolam.com/node/7056?p=3147, I would not have reached to this level namely this kolam, http://www.ikolam.com/node/17085?p=3147.

Dear Friends,
I really missed out all these discussions that has happened in the beginning of this month. 01 April 2011 was Friday and since it was weekend, I didn't login to check the happenings in this site.
Thanks a lot for all your comments and feedback my dear friends.
Ankubala, pl be specific about your comment, is the kolam design in not nice, or my stokes are not perfect or is there any problem with the symmetry or anything else. Pl be specific and if possible give some suggestions to improve the skill.
As such, this kolam design is my favourite one and your comment is not going to stop me from drawing it whenever i like to do it.

As Pushpa says though this looks simple it is very difficult to draw it so neatly and symmetrically!
