New networking features ...

As promised before, after lot of testing, we are rolling out some new features which should help networking with other members easily. One of the prime concerns for me in this process has been protecting user information and maintaining privacy.

As a first step, you should be able to easily contact other members using two mechanisms: private message, contact. Wherever a user name is displayed, it would now appear as a link. Clicking on the link would enable you to contact the member.

To enable other members to reach you through private messages or email, the following settings must be enabled first:

Check out the My account link and edit the settings to your liking.

The system does not reveal your email address even though it allows others to email you (if enabled). When contacted by other members, the emails would appear to come from iKolam.com. As I mentioned previously, I take privacy seriously and would not want to compromise the user information and trust in any way. So, please give it a try and let me know if you see any problems.

I am working on a few more interesting features which would improve the networking. So stay tuned ...
