About Kaarthigai Deepam : PRINT

Karthigai is the month of Deepams. I put a small rangoli and kept all the lamps in stock around it. ( can you make out the 'Allauddin' Deepam which is a Parrot Diya turning its head back and the elephant diya?)

This is so lovely rajamma mam...i am trying to click a night effect photo like this but not able to...ya i can see d parrot diya in at d base and about ur elephant diya ...is it d jodi top ones...?

Rajamma mam,

Very beautiful arrangement of diyas. My mom also has the same type of elephant diyas and the pair of diyas kept on the top.

Beautiful rangoli design and designer diyas Rajam Mam. I think four parrot diys are kept along the sides of rangoli (two on each side) and two elephant diyas are kept on the two top corners outside the rangoli.

Rajam, where did you get those 'kuruvi' lamps? Are they terracota? The whole arrangement is beautiful!

Thank u all for enjoying this lamp kolam/. Jaya, Uma, the parrot lamps were bought when we ikolams members visited Dhakshin chitra after the chennai meet.. The parrot is looking back so it gives a " allauddin lamp' effect. I'll give the clear picture of then in my next kolam ok?
