KOLU - Part-2-Golden Jubilee Marriage Celebrations, School, Seeveyli and village life
The completion of Golden Jubilee of marriage which is considered highly auspicious and is captured in the ‘Couple’ enjoying the completion of 50 years of marriage with family and friends. Adjacent to it is the exclusive tradition of serving food in banana leaves with men and women ready to taste it. The vases in which the flowers have been placed are waste glass injection bottles which have been painted with fabric paint and gold. The dishes on the utensils have been made from plaster of paris and then driede and painted.
Education is an indispensable part of human life is depicted through the ‘Ma Sharda School’. The walls have been decorated with flower/vegetable charts available in the market and a blackboard made of waste cardboard have been placed. The students have been provided with paper pencil and the teacher with chalk & duster.
There is also a symbolic representation of the ‘Seeveyli’ from God’s Own Country (Kerala) with the Lord on the Majestic Elephant adorned with jewelry and enthusiastic people is pleasing to the eyes.
The village life has been depicted as shown in the photo.
