Very different sikku kolam. The way you have coloured is good. A pretty checker box lamp kolam.

appdi podu jasree....vaanga sikku kolam pakkama....this is lovely with nice choice of cols...even i have this...thought of putting it after navarathri....this has come out so beautiful ....

Jayanthi maam very cute kolam and nice checkered pattern... pls dont mind just an opinion perhaps the green dots could hv been substituted with some other color since your floor looks green as well...

As Vinci says it looks like traditional 'paalum pazhamum checked saree design' ! Your green dots are shiny, that's why they look like buttons!

Lovely checked effect this one has Jayanthi. The central design is very neat though the outside is a bit out of symmetry. The famous yellow, green checks looks excellent - but like Pushpa said green is merging with your floor
