About Sona/ chikku/ Padikkolam : PRINT
Thia is a sona design Padikkolam, with 4 side gopurams and prakaarams.In a small place I have to accomodate this 24 dotted kolam,( hence it took a long time to complete)Once I finished the kolam and put my favourite lavender out line my grand son( three and half year old) said'Fantastic Paatti'. I was thrilled to get such a comment from him .
This kolam is dedicated to Rani/ Veni Jodi, who are flooding the ikolam site with their wonderful chikku kolams.

aahaa rajamma mam...tottuteenga ponga.....i am just going on looking at this kolam of urs for d past few minutes and just can't take my eyes of this mam....THIS IS GORGEOUS....white and lavender col combination is too good mam....blue kku naduvule white dots and white ku naduvule blue dots...hats of to ur imagination....

Rajamma maam, wow this is so good... I just cant seem to take my eyes off this... it is so enchanting... the color combo of white-lavender is superb and the lavender color in making the four squares makes this kolam seem more bright and beautiful... love the color u hv used...aiyoo my heart wants to say a thousand things about this but i dont seem to get the right words to say what I feel...

Thank you all for the nice comments. I give Half the CREDIT to my favourite lovely LAVENDER. This sona design kolam is copied from an old kolam book. I have only added the color dots and outer border.
( .Just like that on a leisurely afternoon I put this kolam. It so happened that next day being the full moon day our ladies group planned to do pooja in our house with 'Soundharya Lahari' chanting. We kept the decorated Kuththu Vilakku infront of this kolam and did the Pooja.Now I strongly feel that it is not me who did this)

Beautiful work pleasing to the eyes. Except at the top, bottom and the sides (3x4 dots) , I do not see sOnA designs.

Oh...... So lovely. How did I miss this kolam? U have done magic with 2 colours. I don't have any words to say except to stare at this kolamwith an AWE!!!!!!!
