About Kolam for Brindha : PRINT
Hi Brindha, This is a very small gift for your birthday. I was really inspired by JKM sirs Birthday gift kolam with their letters.. I really cannot reach his perfection in drawing kolams but i just gave a try to draw this kolam with the letter "B" which is used as the main flower petals( which is in square shape, pink in colour)So frienz,pls let me know your lovely comments.

Bright Majentha kolam gift for Brindha? She will like it since it is with "B"s and full of lotus flowers. The leaves are cute.

Pink and green, pretty queen. this we use to say during our college days. So as here also. The kolam is very pretty and a nice gift too.

Your gift moved me a lot, Sudha! Whether the gift is perfectly made or not, the thought of presenting makes its value (அன்புக்கு இணையான பரிசு வேறு எது!) Thanks for your comment sir, I wanted to ask you one question whenever you feed the letters into the computer you use capital letter in between the leeters. I am very curious to know about its significance. Please let me know if possible.

mOhana Sir uses capital letters to differenticate the dheerga swaras ....if you start using baraha software (www.baraha.com) to type indian letters, then you can see the difference....you can see i also used capital O in his name like him

In the queue for what Anirudh? Because if you are talking about the rangoli queue, I don't see any in your name, yet.
Please clarify.
About the usage of letters, Mohanaji has maintained his original style in writing as well as in all other aspects that we get to enjoy.
It is time consuming to type in alternate letters which I'm sure gets easier in time for anybody. If more members started writing here this way, then the members who find it extremely difficult to do so, might feel frustrated and also out of place eventually. Our goal here at ikolam is to keep the site more approachable for people from all walks of life. If it starts to turn into a Literature site look alike, then I'm sure many of our members will find it intimidating.
I'd also like to point out that we have many silent members who have trouble in writing comments because comments are required to be written in English. But, they are trying to do the best they can. I used to spend too much time on editing on the grammar and spelling in the description section of members' uploads, but, eventually had to give it up due to lack of time. We don't want to drive members away by changing our basic style here, Anirudh. I'm sure there are plenty of other Literature sites where this form of writing is understood easily and welcomed.

I can understand as to why some would find the names and words written using the transliteration scheme hard to figure out. One of the main reasons for the scheme is for correct machine rendering of the script. As Mohana sir alludes in a related cafe post, it is sometimes useful to train the western tongue to say your name properly!
Style, substance and schemes aside, as a long time silent member of this site, I would like to see the individuality and originality preserved as much as possible!
