You are one busy bumble bee! Red kaavi is such a wonderful change, Rani. Very nice dotted kolam for the special occasion. One more thing, this type of a boder that has the main color from your artwork does not take all the attention from your focal point (the rangoli), which is what most of us prefer. Isn't it? Next time, try to match the exact shade of the kaavi in the border too, for a perfect blend. You'll like the border even more.
Also, try to have the same amount of space all around the rangoli, when you place the border lines.

yeah latha...whatever u say is right...only now i feel what u had mentioned for my onam kolam...and i tried a frame not to disturb my kolam also....thanks a lot for giving me a new vision....i shall keep in mind reg d space around d kolam also...thanks again...

Have you drawn the horizontal rows first and then joined with vertical columns?

Hi RAni, very bright and nice kolam. What I felt is the border may not suit this kolam and next time take care of the symmetry also.

Rani this reminds me of Akbar's 'Panch Mahal'. The way it is layered looks exactly like that. Neat and lovely work and the border is added attraction too - experts all around (Judy be careful - hehe)

Rani, A small clarification needed from you, as I can get a answer soon (suda Suda). Have you noticed any new addition on the home page, i.e. the caption below to ikolam.. Or I have overlooked that caption for a quite long time... I don't want to annoy Lata with my mail, Thought of getting it clear... Hope you don't get irritated with my Question..
