Jayanthy, you have drawn the kolam well. But the foundation is not upto the mark.... yes, the dots are not kept symmetrically, thats why the end product is not up yo ur satisfaction.

Very difficult kolam but good attempt. A little more symmetrical dots, would have made the kolam beautiful.

Like Rajam and Pragaya have already pointed out I think it is the dot placement that matters Jayanthi - other than that this is a nice kolam

HI Jayanthi. Good try. Keeping dots for this is quite tricky, even I tried many a times on the paper but it was not up to the mark. Regular way of putting dots will not suit this pattern.

very good try....will be perfect next time ...somehow i feel to make this normal dotted rangoli and then put dots in places to make it sikku......

Quite nicely drawn. Congrats for a painstaking job. I do not know how you placed the dots initially. My suggestion for placing the dots is - first place the dots on the (imaginary) line that has most and proceed from there. You could have tried the red clay for the second line instead of both being in white. That is why in I drew the original ( http://www.ikolam.com/node/14436?p=1930 ) in those colours.

Jayanthy maam I like this maakolam very much but I felt the kaavi could hv been in a continuous manner rather than in intervals... just an opinion maam

Good try and the nice out come, Jayanthi. I too have the feeling that the kaavi could have been continuous.
