This celtic knots are expressed as knots, with lines going over and under, in crisscross pattern. They don't have dots used as grids.

Kolam with cycles are mostly the same as celtic knot patterns, however please notice that the celtic patterns are expressed as knots, so they should been drawn with crossings of up/down or over/under lines.
