Oh yes! We remember this one of a kind design; a design that reminds me of Trishul and Swastik combination. The dot count is 26 to 2.
We saw it here;

The rangoli carpet looks lovely in pink, blue, and green over a peach background. The edges look natural and fiber-made.
(My internal thought: Looks like Rajam has refilled all her stock of rangoli colors. It is not margazhi yet, and she has already started queuing up with all color kolams! Wonder what's the secret of her energy? )

Lata, thanks for giving priority for this in my 'Q'.I thought you will give the chance for others to guess.I was alone at home in one rainy afternoon,,so did this without interupption( took nearly two and half hours to complete.( putting dots and drawing the design itself took more than half an hour) I think if the design was drawn bigger it will not take much time in filling colors. The lamps are kept to keep the kids away from it.I have not refilled color podi, but trying to finish of the old stock before Navrathri/ Deepavali.

(I am wondering why you added 'ji' with my name).

Chithi, No words to say . Still seeing and admiring it. The uneven lines in the outer edges, make this rangoli compete with a real carpet.

Thank you one and all for all the lovely comments.This kerchief- size carpet is still safely smiling in our drawing room.Nowadays I am after copycat kolams, so many new new designs ikolam members are providing/ tempting me to try them in my style.( Brindha, no 'ji' hereafter, Judy my best wishes for your mother ,in the new HOME .. do you have a big floor there to try ur kolams?)
