Inspirational Kolam
About Inspirational Kolam : PRINT
This is the inspirational kolam, original one is a quilled design http://www.ikolam.com/node/13396?p=10759. I have used wet maavu and mixed different colors and used the design. I tried using the same colors as in the original. Your views please.

Push, done a good job with wet maavu ( I expected it)Though it is exact copy of the original, it looks very different, may be due to the yellow twirls going on one direction. The outer pink flowers look like lotus buds placed at different levels. The number symmetry is slightly odd.... 13, 16 and 8 from the centre.Colouring done exactly like the original. I think u avoided extra decorations due t o vid's conditions!i

I too was eagerly waiting to see Pushpa's maakolam (I knew she would do it) and so nice to see the colours mixed in wet maavu to match Suganthi's kolam. Lovely work Pushpa. What happened to your usual cute border?? Did Vidhya say not to put borders too?? Well, I have not seen her submission as yet but I am sure she would have put those little stencils to decorate her kolam

wonderful work, Pushpa:) looks very different and beautiful with wet maavu. The pink especially is cute so the lotus. Very neat presentation:) (Is it done directly with wet maavu or first with chalk?)

Brindha maam I used chalk only for the two white circles ( I am sooooooo bad at circles and squares really) You can see inspite of that it is not a perfect circle... apart from the two white circles, the rest I have not used chalk

As for the border, I had no space left so could not draw a border though I wanted to... if I had made a border, it would hv probably be too close to the kolam so i didnt want to risk it and spoil the kolam

This design looks good as a maakolam too Pushpa. I like the pastel shades used here. Looks like you'd changed the yellow hearts to curls. I'm glad you omitted the border this time, since it would've shared the attention with this design. Thank you so much for participating Pushpa.

Carefully and prettily drawn picture. Fine effort! The numbers don't seem to add up.
