This freestyle kolam was sent by Mrs.Rajam.
Description: This wet maavu kolam was put in midnight , since next day morning was my grandson's 3rd year Aayush Homam function. No time to search for Kaavi, so mixed red liquid food color( my daughter has supplied) with the white wet maavu and put the red outline.

Wow that's cute padi kolam. I started using red food color nowadays. I was told by Judy that u do this when u were in singapore.

Rajamma maam wow this is soooo beautiful and the food color does give it a bright look... This pattern is very beautiful goes into my collection... does the color wash off easily without staining the floor???

Gorgeous with red color. Legend's work. what to add... . Nice idea of using food color will try out.. Reminds me of Brindha Maam's kuzhal kolam...

Thanks Judy, I was wondering what to do next....mmm..... I'll try kozhal kolam....Brindha what u say? any guidance for the beginners using the kozhal?Thanks all for the nice comments. My daughter makes color powderby mixing ricepowder with liquid food colors ( her daughter sahana helps her in mixing and drying the powder)She only forced me to take one full set of liqiudfood colors from S'pore last year. I am yet to open the other colors.
