About Margazhi Dew Drops Rangoli Contest - 2010 : PRINT

Dot Count - 20 Dots - 10 rows - till 10 on all sides (Straight Dots)

This is the season of Music and Dance and I wanted to portray this in the kolam. First, I decided on the dots count and practiced all the instruments in the dots. The instruments used in the kolam are Veena, Violin, Mirudangam, Tabla, Flute Nathaswaram. Lord Nataraja (Lord of Dance) is depicted in the centre of the kolam.

I dedicate this kolam to all music and dance lovers.

Uthra

First look - grand,
Creativity - very novel,
Details - Quite a unique design; could have drawn a dancer in the prostrating pose.
Overall - Excellent

Novel idea and beautifully executed....

Wow! Somebody should use this design to make an area rug for music-concerts! Smile
I like how the Sa ri ga ma and tha ka dhi mi letters in tamil are sprinkled here and there in your rangoli. It has come out beautiful with all the music instruments. Good luck! Smile

Well timed design - but I dont think it was necessary for dots as it looks like a free hand kolam after it is coloured. Like Lata said I like the way the notes are strewn all over the kolam - all the best Smile
