MY WISH

Submitted by judelined on
This poem was written by my sister Jennifer Kumar who is also a member of ikolam but hardly visits the site.. Must try and get her to be more regular.. She is very good at craft work and writes nice poems.. Just thought I should share one of them with all of you.. Do let me know what you think :) I WISH I wish I could fly As free as a bird High up in the sky Never seen nor heard… Through the fluffy clouds so white Soaring freely in and out As the sun shines so bright Happiness without a doubt… Looking down at the grass so green The beautiful flowers sway from side to side Butterflies flying in between Looking for a place to hide… Doing the things I want to do.. Without any questions asked Going where ever I want to From the wake of dawn till dusk.. I wish upon a wishing star I only have wishes few So shiny and bright but so far I wish my wish would come true… Author : Jennifer Kumar

That's a beautiful poem, showing the composer's feelings. I wish her wish comes true.

Judy, I like your sister's poem, and her name! You see, there was a time in my life when I wanted to convert to a christian, become a nun in the school I studied in, and be called - Sister Jenny! Jenny was my favorite pick of all the christian names. Many wouldn't believe it (in my circle...), but I still regret being not given the chance :( (Please ask her if it is alright if I address her as Jenny, instead of Mrs.Kumar :) To me, "Jenny" reminds me of Chapels and holy oil and a peaceful place. :)

We have the freedom to dream like this no? May be when we get all these things, we may get bored of it and long for somethingelse!. rajamma
