Lava-Kusa capturing Lord Rama's Ashwamedha horse

Navratri every year is a festival where the entire family puts on their creative best. I have 2 pairs of Gowri Bommais which are very old. Every year they are dressed according to the theme of the year. This years theme is Lava-Kusa capturing Lord Rama's Ashwamedha horse with sage Valmiki and Sita watching.

The golu bommais are also very old . They are nearly a hundred years old. I have not touched up the paint on them Hence they look beautiful

This is the first ever Golu I have kept myself. Incidently, we have shifted to Rajasthan during the mid of this year. It was quite an amazing experience to talk about the Navratri Mahima and philosophy behind keeping Golu to my Rajasthani friends.
