supportiveness factor expected by a woman!

As we talked about the sacrifice of a working women in raising up their family, kids, economical status etc, there arises a question of getting support from her man.once i read an Q/A page from Kumudam Snegidhi "when a women feels her life miserable?" the answer was when she is not understood or supported by her man.her chance of winning is reduced to 50% when she lacks his support and understanding.i dont know whether its true or not.

but i think of my mother, her own life, being born in a family of government servants for past 5 generations she had a well to do background.she resigned her first govt.job and later got another one better than the first.she was married to my father who worked in the same office at a similar post[its an intercaste marriage].my father's family at that time was in a village near madurai.when i was 2 yrs old we have to go to village because my nanny wanted to meet us every sunday.my mother followed it despite her only rest day on sunday untill i rebelled to go when i was 7.

there are many such situations which could be altered only when me and my brother were against it,and explained it to our father.now today i ask my mother why didn't she do what me and my brother did even before, she says she must respect my father's wish.my father is a good man but is he aware of my mother's condition i dont know.

today i support my mother in every right decision and explain it to my father.and surely i ask him does it need me to explain that, can't he realise it before i brief him?is it his fault or his brought up surrounding i don't know.anyway i feel happy when my mother gets a voiceover through me to say what she feels.i say to my brother often, atleast u understand ur wife even before she realises her missing voiceover.

i thought this happens in my family alone but shocked to hear same stories thru' people around me,except few lucky ones. i dont mean to hurt the good supportive spouses, but wished to say what i felt in my personal life.
