Just tried one of the Pottaiyan's Kolam. Just wanted to share with you friends..

Nice kolam Vasanthi. What was your base? Is it bb? Have you done this chalk or kola podi? One small suggestion dear. Please don't call it as Pottaiyan kolam. You can mention the name of the book or name of the author or Sundar's Kolam. i don't know why it pinches my heart when it was called as pottaiyan.

Thank you maha, bala mam, rajammaji (yes amma done it in Paint brush), rani mam and Suguna mam.
Maha this is BB kolam only dear. I used kolapodi only pa..and maha as you mentioned, I will surely refer the author's or book's name hereafter...but there is a reason why I called this as such because..I want to express that (Pottaiyan means a blind person) even a blind person can do wonders (create and draw kolams) if he has interest on that..

Vasanthi, Welcome back from your short holiday trip. Hw was it? Shud have been a great relaxation and relief for you frm this Chennai Hot climate. Vasanthi, I agree on your justification. If you feel that you want to highlight your view that even a blind person can do wonders, you continue calling it as 'pottaiyan's kolam'.

Yes maha, you are right..really a great relief and relaxation from my routine dear. see from morning I could not comment continuously ....that too in my lunch time...machine life started...
the climate there now is tooo good maha...fresh air, wherever we see its full of green and colourful flowers...no pollution so chill climate..enjoyed a lot dear..more than us, our son enjoyed a lot....will upload photos tomorrow dear.
