I use only kolapodi to do kolams in my black board mam, I never tried chalk piece in my BB..) Only at my door step (cement surface) I use to draw with chalk piece...
(For chalk piece kolam, we can wet once or twice the chalk piece mam, that's enough...)
Try with kolapodi on your BB mam, you can get a better result...)
