Aishwaryam..
About Aishwaryam.. : PRINT
I am born & brought up & lived in Mumbai always; but I am a pure South Indian in every cell of my body. I love our tradition & culture & never miss the morning kolam at the door step of my house. Similarly the kolam at my temple inside the house....This is one of those..Just would like to mention that my parents have always been very traditional & celebrated every festival exactly the way it should be done. This is the only reason I too have cultivated this habit over the years....My father would love my kolams & would always be ready with his camera to click. Even on the day he passed away, in the morning he clicked my kolam which I had made for some poojai at home....I miss him...
Sorry for the story but felt like sharing it.....

Small and pretty in green and maroon. I guess we've all made it our own way.
I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share a bit of your memory with us. Just so you know, this site has many daughters who miss their fathers and have shared little bit of their lives with us in this site (myself included). Hope to see more of your works here.

Very nice Kolam, Abhirami. Please so share with us more such creations of yours.
My heartfelt feelings to you on the loss of your father. Same as Lata said, I'm also one among the daughters who miss their fathers. Since I'm the youngest daughter in my family, I'm so closely attached to my father. I really miss him.

Quite handsome, you could have used one more colour in the dark brwon kumkuma area to give better contrast.
