My daughter and I had gone to a Japanese festival (Cherry Blossom)and learnt this kirigami.Both of us tried to do this Kirigami.

In Japanese language,Gami = Paper.Kiri = Fold and Cut.

I will try out some other patterns and upload it for ikolam friends.Ofcourse,our ikolam legends would come up with many patterns : )

Kirigami is the art of making patterns cut from tissue paper. Kids love to make snowflakes in school, using scissors to cut designs out of paper-squares.

In this pattern, different colors of cut tissue paper were placed underneath the top white paper to make a colorful design.
