Dear friends.. Here is a dotted carpet kolam done with dried coconut poo which was left over after Vishu... so added some food colour to it and dried them. J) It was very difficult to spread them.... some how managed to get a shape. Hope you all like this. Your views please.
Drawn during the occasion of marrriage with kalash decorated with coconut and betal leaves
This simple design is made with colored coconut poo and decorated with plastic little flowers and tander Vazhaipoo ( banana flower). I think it should be called vegitable/poo kolam.
This free hand maakolam was drawn just to use my leftout coconut poo after removing the milk from it. The coloring was done after mixing the coconut poo with liqiud food colors. But the filling is little difficult since it does not spread easily.
Is dotted kolam 13 to 7 ( in between dots)
after seeing Subashini's green kolam I put this one with Coconut, manjal Vettrilai, paaku pazham and poovu.( dotted kolam ..13 -7 inbetween dots).
Pushpaji, see since the maavu was very watery I could not draw this neatly.
Just a picture to share the advancement in technology. The picture though not very clear shows the coconut climber talking over his mobile phone on top of the tree(20 years old tree) which fascinated my husband to capture .Judy's David and Golaith and Lata's respect for coconut climber tempted me to send this picture
It is a picture of the coconut trees in our house which are about 10 years old... Couple of weeks ago we cut the coconuts and trimmed the trees. We opened many of the coconuts and to our surprise we found this teeny weeny coconut which fit inside my palm so I was tempted to click a picture and then I decided to take a picture of the biggest coconut also (which refused to fit in my palm). I then took a picture of both 'David and Goliath' (the famous Bible combo) and made a collage of all these pictures for all of you to enjoy...
dots 13 - 13
This kalasam (hope I am correct) kolam can be drawn for occasions such as a wedding, grihapravesh etc, I have drawn this kolam in such a way to show how the dots are connected just for those who don't understand - whereas actually it should be drawn in continuation to cover the dots - hope you understand what I am trying to say.
