This is the design i tried after seeing some of the creations. I think it is late now but Lata please add this too as a small contribution from me. I have tried the second one where i have developed the outer design. I wanted to keep the diamond shape as base and do a deepam rangoli as Diwali is nearing. Look forward to your views.

Hi everybody,
This is my maiden attempt in making a free hand rangoli with reference to the second design (Right hand side). It reminds me of the proverb - Too may cooks spoil the broth. In the enthusiasm of creating a rangoli design, I feel that I have done too much of decoration to this. Anyhow, still wanted to share it with you all. Please let me know your comments.

Just managed to complete the design on the floor with available colour podi.Did not change the paper design. The paper drawing was drawn at a strech within half an hour, but this I did in instalment.... took nearly 2 hours to complete.

Hi Friends,
My 2 cents for the inspiration rangoli. I chose the second design.
I am little weak in drawing 'V' shapes. Have tried my level best to retain symmetry. :(.
Actually, I decided to quit as i had guests at home 2 full days and it was almost sunday evening. My husband only motivated me to do this on sunday night.
