This Rangoli is one which I have created for Diwali 2013. This is drawn on paper. This was posted on my blog.
I keep on creating new Rangolis for various festivals and post some on my blog- http:/summersofindia.blogspot.in
Some times it takes me days to create one Rangoli and some times it just takes a few hours. This one took me three hours. I wanted, lotuses, Diyas as an offering to Goddess Lakshmi. I also wanted the chain rangoli to be part of this. Hence the creation.
I like simple easy to draw Rangolis as I feel that on festive days we have to do so many things and spending lot of time on Rangoli gives me tension and spoils the festive spirit.

This is for Karthika Purnima.
Today as we worship Lord Shiva, I chose, Shiva Lingam, Lotuses, earthenware lamps, Bilva Dalams which are dear to Lord Shiva and Rudraksha. This can be drawn on Shiva Ratri too. Hope you like it. For more details, you can see it on my blog here:

Hope you all like it. One thing is- draw this kolam in a place where no one steps on it as it contains, Shiva Lingam and also text of Om Namah Shivaya.

hai.. this is a simple kolam drawn in front of my home. i just share this to say a HAI to all IKOLAM FRIENDS.. actually i joined ikolam to share my mom's(rema ramani) work.. but now she is good in sharing her works. thanks to her bcoz i'm now ready to share my works...
