sOnA patterns placed side by side and assembled into a square
About sOnA patterns placed side by side and assembled into a square : PRINT
Two single line sOna patterns (3 rows and four columns) are placed side by side and joined together. This motif is assembled into a square. This has 6 independent woven strings. I have shown them in three colours to preserve the four-fold symmetry. There is a vertical four-fold axis (90 deg rotation) perpendicular to the screen and four two-fold axes at 45 deg ib the plane of the screen (two - horizontal and vertical and two diagonal - NE-SW and NW-SE). Enjoy!

Nice design. At the moment my mind is visually working on how I would finish looping around the left over dots. That may mess up the sona work, and convert it into a regular dotted kolam, but no harm in doing so just for fun.
