Beautiful kolam with small kutty kolams too in d corners and an apt border too kameshwari mam....did u spread kavi first and then do d kolam on it....

Yes Rani Mam. I spread wet kavi(thick) with sponge for two to 3 coats and then drew the kolam.

Rajamma Mam, Kavi is not permanent one. I spread wet kavi on the floor with sponge for two to three coats and let it dry. Then the kolam will be drawn.

Mahalakshmi Mam, in Godavari districts of Andhra we will keep kolu for Pongal. In Telangana districts people keep kolu for Diwali. Some people keep Kolu for Dasara. Hailing from East Godavari District of A.P. I keep kolu for Pongal.

Kameshwari that must be a permanent spot for your kaavi base as I am sure that part of your floor must be stained. Very neat presentation..
