Shank Pushpam
About Shank Pushpam : PRINT
I had to do this on a sheet of paper as our corridor is of marble nature and rangolis made with rice powder on this floor is not very clear. The dot count is 15-8. Hope you all like it..

Very nice. If you want to paint it, use blue colour.
The real Sankhapushpa may be found in this link.
May be you can modify your raMgOli based on this
picture.

mOhanaji,
The following designs are other variations, I thought the second one (the colored one) has some resemblance to the pea flower that is shown in the link you provided. We'd like to hear your comments about it.

Yes, the ones between the Sankhas and they are also
in blue. However, I don't think that was the aim
of the artist. At least, that is what I feel. May be
she will be in better position to comment.

Why I named it sankha pushpam is bcos there is a flower (pushpam) beneath every sankha. I hv heard my mother saying "sangupushpam" probably the one shown in the link which is blue in colour. Thanks and shall try redoing...
