Roof to My God's Temple - 15

About Roof to My God's Temple - 15 : PRINT

Right middle - A hexagon is chosen.
Right top - One of the sides (bottom) is removed from the hexagon.
Right bottom - The incomplete hexagon is rotated by 150 deg and joined to the earlier one. After twelve such rotations (12 x 150 = 1800 = 5 x 360) we come back to the original. This, after colouring, is shown.

Left top - Six of the bottom right are assembled to give the pattern with the 6-fold symmetry (6mm).

Left bottom - Four of these are assembled to give the pattern with the 4-fold symmetry (4mm).

Note how we get four-fold and six-fold symmetries with the same starting motifs. That is because we have a 12-fold symmetry (without colour) in the original pattern.

Enjoy! Regards - mOhana

Sir,I could not concentrate on this design when it got uploaded. Now when I read the details given in your description of the 6 fold symmetry, 4 fold symmetry or the hexagon pattern....I could not follow any of them properly. Can you simplyfy it so that I can follow it.Sorry for the troble.
