Romantic Rangolis
About Romantic Rangolis : PRINT
Here comes another set of rangolis for the occassion. I tried to do a rangoli 'Lakshmi style' on my kitchen top with kolapodi and this is what I landed up with. Though it not so perfect, since it had some heart shapes, I thought I'd upload it today. After I finished clicking a picture I was removing the kolapodi from the slab when I realised that it was making a base texture and suddenly Manjula's rangoli came to my mind and with my fingertip I just casually drew a usual freehand rangoli which I photographed and combined with the first rangoli since this also had some heart like shapes - hope you all like it

Judy, Iam also trying the small nuances of Lakshmi kolams daily. I do it with rice flour on cement floor. So, not as 'palich' as yours. Also, your strokes are well-defined. Your 'kolam out of a kolam' is very casual!

Did I copy properly or did I fail Sumathi?? You know that joke about Ramu who copied from Shamu. While Shamu passed, Ramu failed - WHY? Because Shamu was writing Hindi exam and Ramu was appearing for his Tamil exam. So did I pass or fail?? Rajam your height of imagination is too much dear (haha).. Hmm dosai mela kolam - sounds a nice name for my second kolam too
